The Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices (CCNA) training course is available at our Cardiff training centre in Wales, which is also within easy reach of Newport, Bristol and South Wales
Overview
Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices (ICND) includes both routing and switching concepts, covering both Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies. This course focuses on using Cisco Catalyst/ switches and Cisco routers connected in local-area networks (LANs) and wide-area networks (WANs) typically found at small to medium network sites. Upon completion of this training course, you will be able to select, connect, configure, and troubleshoot the various Cisco networking devices.
Examination information
- This course prepares delegates for examination 640-802 (Cisco Certified Network Associate). Alternatively, delegates may elect to take the CISCO two-part qualification path: 640-822 ICND1, 640-816 ICND2
Prerequisites
Before attending this course, students must have:
- Working knowledge of commonly used networking terms and topologies
- Working knowledge of the basic functions of a network protocol Fundamental network device roles (for example, hub, bridge, router, and switch)
- Working knowledge of the Open System Interconnection (OSI) reference model
- Working knowledge of the use of Windows 98/NT/XP to run multiple applications
- Working knowledge of accessing the Internet or an intranet

- Module 8: WAN Technologies and Protocols
This course provides a mix of theory, simulation and Hands-on practise (using Cisco Equipment);(approx ratio 30%,30%,40% respectively)
